Definition of ''Noir''
Noir literally means black in French. It is probably known world wide though for being a style of movie or theater. The term film noir refers to a setting or style that is less than happy. It oftens has a dark theme or settings !
Film Noir
Today, film noir is still a highly recognized and well-respected form of storytelling on film. If you admire this style, you may choose to shoot film noir movies or still shots. For the photography, you'll want to create the lighting and camera effects that imitate the best of film noir.Film Noir (literally black film or cinema) was coined by french film critics (first by Nino Frank in 1946) who noticed the trend of how dark , downbeat and black the themes were for AMerican crime and detectives film released in France to theaters following the war, such as, The Maltese Falcon (1941), Murder, Sweet (1994), Double Indemnity(1944), The woman in the window as well the movie Laura all in the year of (1944). A wide range of reflected the resultants tension and insecurities of the times, period and counter-balanced the optimism of Hollywood's musicals and comedies. Fear, mistrust, bleakness, lost of innocence, despair and paranoia are readily evident in noir, reflecting the chilly Cold War period when the treat of nuclear annihilation was ever present. The criminal, violent, misogynistic, hard-boiled or greedy perspectives of anti-heroes in film noir were metaphoric symptoms of soceity's evil, with a strong undercurrent o oral conflict , purposelessness and sense of injustice. There were rarely happy or optimistic ending in film noir.
6 Principles of the Cult
1) Rationale and human justification is a man made concept, but alas, many do not realize that not everything that occurs has to be rational and justifiable. However ...
2) Every occurrence in the universe carries an equal amount of significant no matter how mundane or absurd it may seen as it may always lead to a chain of events that influences our lives.
3) Every sentient being is equal no matter how big or small it is, however people overlook this because they are disillusioned by self-worth and how they value others.
4) The universe exist because we are aware about it.
5) At some point in life we will gain something, but onlly to lose it sooner or later. This is inevitable.
6) The gift of life appears to be the most precious thing of all, but it is not. We only see it because we are so infatuated with the materialistic beauty of this planet, owning wealth, and consume thinkig of all the worldly activities that we could be involved with.
Storyline
Author’s father was the world’s famous novelist who wrote stories about mysteries, religion and cult. 7 years ago, he went missing when he was doing his research for his latest novel. Today, when the nation is expecting another bestselling novel from the daughter of the famous novelist, she had trouble in her writing career. She then decided to continue her father’s unfinished novel.
The story is related to a secret religion group called ‘âme’. As Author worked for the novel, she grew more interest on the secret cult. She started to search for details on âme. One day when she was back from doing her research, she saw her mother burning all the data and information of âme. She was so frustrated and saved the remaining from being burned down. She had a serious fight with her mom and locked herself up in her room for few days. The feeling of desperation grew vigorously inside her as those were all she left in order to not lose her job and the fame she having now.
Among the remaining data she found a small piece of paper indicating the location of an island. Out of curiosity, she decided to visit the island.
Author realized that the origin of âme is located on the island. She also found out that her dad was once been there before. She encountered the mysterious organization’s leader. The cult leader stated that if anyone wanted any information from her, that particular person will have to sacrifice the soul of his or her loved one. Author refused the trade but agreed to stay among the cult tribe. A few days later, she did not plan to stay any longer so she secretly break into the cult leader’s room and steal data and information of the tribe.
Back at the city. Author had successfully completed and published her father’s novel named ‘Souler’. Her mother was nowhere to be seen. Out of desperation, Author hired two detectives to help in searching her missing mother. She recalled the condition the cult leader told her while she was on the island and told the detectives.
The detectives went to the island and succeed in rescuing their client’s mother. They went back to Author’s home. Everything was perfect. It was almost a happy ending until Author’s mother suddenly went berserk and stabbed Author. The next incident ensued was the mother foaming at the mouth, and fell onto the ground. The detectives were stunned. Both their client and the mother were died on the spot. The cult leader had foreseen everything and was wise enough to include both of the detectives into her game. They had realized their mistake and were disappointed of themselves.
Once they were back at their office, the detectives were ready to reveal the whole incident to the nation. While they finished on typing the report, someone appeared behind them.
